UP 2025
Karen, Barbie, and I spent an enjoyable weekend exploring the Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan, one of my favorite destinations for relaxation and hiking. With our IGP 1 competition potentially on the horizon next month, this getaway served as the perfect reprieve.
We ventured through Baraga, Houghton, Copper Harbor, and Eagle Harbor, taking the time to browse the charming local shops, embark on light hiking trails, and savor the culinary delights of various bakeries and restaurants. The hope is to establish this trip as an annual fall tradition, enabling us to create lasting memories.
Upon returning home on Sunday, we prepared to rise early Monday to meet with our mentor, Kim. The focus of our session was mainly on infusing more playfulness into our routines, enhancing the power and emotion in our performance. It is encouraging to hear positive feedback and be reminded to balance work with enjoyment.
In conclusion, the long weekend was a refreshing experience, although I am now recovering from a mystery illness I seem to have picked up during our travels.
