Orthopedics - To Submit or No

This topic maybe a bit more on the controversial side… I am personally on the side that if you get your dogs hips and elbows xrayed you should submit the results, no matter what you think the results should be. I am also on the team of those results should be made public, no matter the result.

While no one wants to admit or have the proof out there that your dog has a problem, but it will help make educated breeding decisions for the future. If no one submits failing dogs other then hush hush word of mouth we will never have concrete evidence of what a dog is truly producing. I would love for one day to be able to pay for my all my future puppy buyers to get orthos done on their dogs, just so I can know for certain what my dogs are producing. I am always wanting to know more, and want to produce dogs with super sound bodies so I will always look super hard into what is in my dogs lines ortho wise.
